There is no way to erase the past. No magic pill, therapy or even mystical utterances that can alter what has gone before, especially since – in the spiritual realm, time is not at all linear. Millions of people have paid millions of dollars seeking solace from their past only to succumb to the influences of the external cure. Substituting one negative habit for another negative habit doesn’t actually change anything but the outward appearance of your fear. Deep inside though, we know that we are enslaved and that true freedom is our only way out.
Our common issue as humans is that we constantly seek outside validation over our own best interests. Coming from a Buddhistic tradition of thought it is true that one can not reach enlightenment alone nor are we separate from our brothers and sisters’ pain. However, social norms are based on the material and thus is the playground for the ego. Nothing that is material will ever resolve the pain you carry. Only you can, but in order to do that you must live in the now. From this moment forward there is only the now. So ask yourself, what do I want now?
Knowing what you want is a major benchmark for transforming your life. Remember you shouldn’t define your life by your problems or by what you fear. Thinking like that only continues the cycle of negativity. We are what we believe and we believe what we think. Why? Because we are creatures of habit. Positive, negative or indifferent we are slaves to our habits. Instead focusing on what you don’t want starting thinking about what you do want and begin the process of manifesting the life you desire. In order to do this you need to make it a habit. A habit that is based on your true innate essence, your mission, your passions and giving back to all. You need to create a Spiritual Habit.
So from this moment forward, start your life anew by thinking about what you want. Then back it up with a Spiritual Habit to realize your aspirations.
